Things People Say...
I support this rescue 100%. They are super thorough with their adoptions and are very caring with their dogs as though they were the owners of them all !

It’s a wonderful organization! I can see the way they take care and love their pets, and how special they have to know who adopts them to see if they really are going to a good home, to their forever home. I really admire that!! Good and excellent organization. Please continue doing it, god bless you all for the good work you all are doing!!!!

A wonderful shelter where the dogs are lovingly taken care of and protected fiercely so what brought them there never happens to them again.

I have adopted two dogs from this rescue and can attest that everything they do is for the dogs. They work tirelessly to provide the best possible lives for all the dogs while they are in their care. Whatever each dog needs they get. They send dogs to veterinary specialists whenever needed and really are experts in what they do. They thoroughly check out each and every adopter and I applaud them. They are an example of how rescue should work… for the dogs!!!

I can never thank Robert and your team for the gift of Frannie. She is such a joy and is coming more out of her shell daily. Valentine’s Day which has never held much meaning to me now does – that was the weekend that I met Francis Marie. A beautiful little ball of blond fluff. We don’t know what Frannie has been through before she got to you, not sure of her age (8-10); bad hips; bad eye. But this little dog has given me so much joy!! She loves sitting out back on the beach with the wind in face, folks stopping by to say hello. Thank you all for saving Francis Marie for me – this delightful dog has given me new life. She travels with me and all who meet her love her. I want to encourage anyone thinking of adopting a pet, please consider an older animal. They can be an easy addition to your household – not destructive, house trained, socialized and so grateful to have a home. Francis moves at my pace, was easy to adapt to my lifestyle and gets along great with my older cat. Thank you doesn’t say enough. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK you are doing for all of these precious animals.

We weren’t quite sure about getting a 3rd Shih Tzu but we made the 3-hour drive to Shih Tzu Adoption and came home with our sweet boy Kinkade. He is so lovable and such a good boy. Every time I look at him, I smile. He is a perfect fit for our family. I keep in touch with Shih Tzu Adoption and I make it a point to always thank them for Kinkade. He was well worth that trip.

Every day we send a thank you to Shih Tzu Adoption for letting us adopt the sweetest dogs in the world, Willow (formerly Gwyneth) and Daffy Doodle (formerly Dahlia). They are the joy of our lives, the Shih Tzu Adoption is one of the most caring adoption centers we have come across. Thank you!

Cooper was born deaf, and when his first human parents found out he was deaf, they didn’t want him and immediately took him to the Rescue. This action became our good fortune because Cooper is the best little doggie anyone could ever want. He is loved so much and adapted very well with our other Shih Tzus, Emma Lou and Huxley. Cooper doesn’t know he’s deaf. He reacts to our hand signals, and also to Emma Lou & Huxley’s doggie commands. I cannot imagine our house without him – he is indeed a character and loved with all our hearts.

We have changed their names. Fergie is on the left and Fiona on the right. They are so precious and are now lap dogs and, as you can see, sleep on the bed with us!! Fiona is still a bit nervous and reserved but Fergie is like a little puppy. She sticks to me like velcro!! We love them lots!!!
