Oreo Rose & Rocky Beau

It is always tragic when a senior dog is surrendered to the rescue, for no fault of their own, loosing the only family they have ever known. In Rocky Beau and Oreo Rose’s case, it is especially tragic, as they are a bonded pair, making it very unlikely to be adopted. However, despite the fact that they have been here over one year, we still believe this most beautiful and wonderful pair of Shih Tzus will find the loving, forever home they so deserve.

Rocky Beau and Oreo Rose are very loving, sweet, and gentle with each other, as well as with people and other dogs. They are happy souls, who adore cuddly lap time and affection. Rocky Beau likes to go for walks and romp a little in the yard, while Oreo Rose does just a little exploring in the yard. It is so special how Rocky Beau looks out for his sister and gives her little kisses. They both simply exude sweetness and warm the hearts of us all at the rescue.

They are both approximately 13 years old. Rocky Beau is a male, about 13 pounds and Oreo Rose is a female, about 9 pounds. Oreo Rose has a grade 3/6 heart murmur but has no symptoms. Her left eye was removed due to glaucoma. The right eye is blind and also has glaucoma, which is controlled with meds. This does require occasional eye checkups. Both dogs did fine with anesthesia and dentals about a year ago, and Oreo Rose also did fine during her eye surgery. If you believe you are a great match for this amazing pair, please put in an application today.
