Geoffrey David
It’s hard to believe this adorable, beautiful, young Shih Tzu boy has been at the rescue for over two years. There is a very good reason why, and that is that Geoffrey David is a very special boy, who needs a very special person to call his own. His behavior suggests he was abused from a very early age. He was very untrusting and an aggressive biter when he arrived. We have been working with him and have made great progress. Actually, Geoffrey David’s sweetness is coming through, and he now wants to be petted and receive attention, but only within his level of tolerance. He does not want to be picked up, held, or go for leash walks, and taking out a cellphone for photos will upset him. He shows this by biting, but this is more of a warning, and not nearly as aggressive as he used to.
We believe the right person is out there for Geoffrey David. This person should have a great sense of humor and have had experience living with and loving a similar type of dog. He needs a calm, patient, understanding person, who has a true desire to work with him to give him the best life possible, as he learns to trust more and more. He will need a nice, fenced yard to go out in. Geoffrey David really enjoys the company of other nice dogs, and gets along great with his group at the rescue. He definitely has been learning to trust more as he watches the other dogs enjoy human attention. Geoffrey David is approximately 5 years old and 13 pounds. We truly hope his angel is reading this right now and putting in an application.
